About: Blue Tansy essential oil has a deep blue color and a sweet, floral scent. Compounds known as chamazulenes cause the oil’s blue coloration and provide soothing properties; Blue Tansy has more of these compounds than any other essential oil.
Common Uses: May help to support calm, healthy skin, balanced emotions, sleep and relaxation. Aromatherapists often use the oil in calming blends, salves, and massage oils.

Safety Information: Do not use if pregnant. Do not use with children under 8 years old. Always dilute with a carrier oil. The recommended dilution for general use is less than 18 drops per ounce (3% dilution); maximum recommended dilution for topical application is 40 drops per ounce (7% dilution). Individuals with an allergy to ragweed may react to Blue Tansy. Be certain that you are using Tanacetum annuum (Blue Tansy) and never its cousin Tanacetum vulgare (Tansy), as the latter is toxic and not generally available.
