About: With its low cost, diverse therapeutic potential and bright, spicy-lemon scent, Lemongrass is one of the best-known essential oils. The oil is steam distilled from Lemongrass’s yellow-green blades, which themselves have a citrus-like aroma. Dried and fresh lemongrass is used extensively in Asian cooking and herbal medicine. Our Lemongrass essential oil is organically cultivated and steam distilled in Sri Lanka. Always use diluted; neat application may cause skin-irritation.

Common Uses: Lemongrass essential oil is added to household cleaning products, air-fresheners, lotion, soap, massage oils, salves for joints and muscles, soaking salts, salt scrubs, perfumes, colognes, foot baths, sugar scrubs, diffusers, respiratory salves, baths, body mist, reed diffusers, candles, smelling salts, and many other DIY products.

Blending Recommendations: Lemongrass blends well with nearly every other essential oil. It has a strong scent and a small amount adds warmth to any combination. It especially blends well with warm, spicy, woody, citrus, minty, and pungent scents.

Safety Information: Lemongrass essential oil is not for hypersensitive skin or for children under 2 years of age. Do not use internally if pregnant or if taking diabetes medication.

Maximum adults dilution: 2.5%; 14 drops per ounce of carrier.

Maximum dilution recommended for children: 0.5% or 3 drops per ounce of carrier.
